Big Girl Tomato

Lycopersicon lycopersicum
"The Tomato Big Girl, `Lycopersicon lycopersicum,' produces a solid fruit that matures to a rich red color. This heavy producer bears large, bright red firm tomatoes that weigh up to one pound. This variety will bear fruits all season long, and are resistant to both verticillium and fusariaum wilts. The soil should be well drained and high in organic matter. In warmer regions, tomatoes can be planted in early fall for a harvest in the winter. When watering, the soil should be soaked to a depth of six to ten inches. The plants require at least six hours of direct sunlight every day."
