Kung Pao Hot Peppers

"The Hot Pepper Kung Pao, `Capsicum annuum,' is a recently introduced hybrid with excellent mildly hot flavor. The long, skinny peppers similar in appearance to the cayenne have an excellent mildly hot flavor and are often used in Thai and other Southeast Asian cuisines. The fruits are six to nine inches in length and dark red in color with thin walls. They should be planted in average garden soil with sufficient organic matter. Peppers will use quite a bit of water, but will prefer to be watered deeply and not very often. Gloves should be worn at all times while harvesting, and hands should be washed immediately after."
